Now I have 2 cars that are all scratched up and have had major repairs done. Then 2 months after that another customer crashed the car and I had to wait 4 months to get the car fixed. That car took around 2 months to repair and I had to pay a $500 deductible. It was near the bottom of the car so I didn’t notice it at first but after going back and forth with Turo for a month they finally paid the damages. Just a month after that a customer crashed the brand new vehicle I purchased. Fortunately, the car still had warranty and I was able to get it repaired. So I contacted Turo and told them about the incident and they refused to help pay for the damages. The customer ended up blowing the engine in the mustang. The first incident occurred just a couple months after a customer calls me and tells me that the car was overheated. I did extensive research on both cars to make sure they would rent and also had the best resell value when I wanted to get rid of them.Īfter just 3 months I started to see why everyone says that Turo is a scam. The first three months I made $500 each month so I decided it was going well And decided to purchase another vehicle brand new. ![]() ![]() ![]() It purchased a used Ford mustang only one year old with only 20,000 miles on it. I have been working in the car rental space for over 5 years so when Turo came around I thought it would be a great opportunity to post some cars and make a little extra money and it was at first. ![]()
